Lone Star Legal Aid separates three tools and chooses on-premises infrastructure

On September 8, Lone Star Legal Aid reported progress on Juris, its internal research assistant; LSLAsks, its internal administrative assistant; and NAVI, a public-facing navigation tool still being prepared for release. Juris and LSLAsks entered internal use in spring 2026, with feedback mechanisms and subject-matter review supporting continued iteration. LSLA also chose on-premises infrastructure to increase control over data and reduce dependence on consumption-based charges after initial grant funding. Mid-sized firms can apply the same architecture principle by separating audiences and risk profiles, then comparing the full cost of cloud consumption with the staffing, security and maintenance burden of private infrastructure.
