OpenAI selects Telon to embed legal engineers with customers

On September 15, Business Insider reported that OpenAI named London-based Telon a select partner to help shared law-firm and legal-department customers configure models, write prompts, build agents and train lawyers. Telon employs mostly former lawyers as embedded legal engineers and has grown to 30 team members since its June launch, although it did not disclose customers or the commercial terms of the partnership. For mid-sized firms, the development supports treating implementation capacity as an ongoing operating function rather than a finite software rollout. Firms should define ownership of workflow design, evaluation and user support before procuring outside engineering services, because dependency can shift from a software vendor to a services partner just as easily.
