8am Connects MyCase to Claude Across 73 Practice-Management Actions

On September 23, LawSites reported that 8am introduced a Claude Model Context Protocol connector for MyCase supporting 73 actions across cases, clients, documents, billing and intake. The same release added generative-AI drafting and editing features, transaction-to-matter suggestions and a case-spend dashboard, although the AI products were announced only for MyCase rather than 8am’s other practice platforms. For mid-sized firms, this is a concrete example of AI moving from a separate chat window into the system of record, where permissions, data quality and change management determine whether the workflow is dependable. Leaders should pilot a small set of high-frequency actions and measure completion time, error rates and rework before expanding conversational access across the firm.
