Conseal launches local data masking at $29.99 per device

On October 23, 2026, LawSites carried Sprintfour Technologies’ announcement that Conseal had launched for Windows and macOS at $29.99 per device per month, with local detection, redaction and anonymization before material is sent to external AI tools. The company says document content and typed text remain on-device, but those security and accuracy claims were presented by the vendor and were not independently tested in the report. For mid-sized firms, the product illustrates a lower-cost control layer between approved AI use and sensitive matter data, but masking cannot substitute for data classification, vendor diligence or human review. A pilot should measure false negatives, re-identification risk, document fidelity and administrative control before the tool is approved for privileged material.
