Morgan & Morgan plans to turn MX2 into a law-firm platform

On September 14, Reuters reported that Morgan & Morgan committed at least $1 billion to AI and technology over the next decade after spending $300 million on its MX2 platform, which the firm said had nearly 5,000 monthly users. The 1,100-lawyer firm plans to offer MX2 to other firms on an invitation-only basis by the end of 2027, although pricing was not disclosed. For BD leaders, the move turns proprietary operating capability into a market-facing product and creates a new differentiation model that combines legal services, workflow data and platform access. Prospective users should examine data use, support, portability and competitive conflicts before treating a peer firm as a technology provider; the adoption figures and capabilities are firm-supplied.
