Cooley and Google productize a reviewable litigation task
Inside Practice · OCTOBER 13, 2026 · 1 MIN READ
On October 8, Google Cloud and Cooley announced that they are developing an agent to propose redactions of personal, technical and confidential information in complex litigation documents, with lawyers retaining final decision-making. The system remains in development, and the announcement does not provide measured accuracy, savings or client adoption. For BD and client teams, the bounded workflow offers a clearer value proposition than a general AI claim because the task, approval point and potential time saving can be defined in advance. The next commercial step is to measure rework, turnaround, security exceptions and fee impact, then decide whether those results belong in client reporting or alternative-fee design.
