Litera relaunched on July 27, 2026, positioning itself as "the Legal AI provider best built to run across the practice and business of law on one agent and one dataset." The product at the center is Lito — embedded natively in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, spanning drafting, comparison, contract review, institutional knowledge, and client development. Litera Foundation and Foundation 365 (the firm's institutional knowledge and CRM platform, native to Microsoft Dynamics 365) are now used by five of the ten largest law firms in the world. The relaunch frames the competitive argument directly: "Every AI startup in legal is selling a feature. We're selling the platform those features run on." For BD and client relationship leads, the Foundation 365 CRM integration means that client development data, relationship history, and matter experience can now live on the same agent and dataset as the work product — eliminating the structural disconnect between how work gets done and how client relationships get managed.
