iManage connects governed firm content to ChatGPT Enterprise

On September 21, LawSites reported iManage’s September 17 announcement that it would connect authorized Work content to ChatGPT Enterprise for search, reading, organization and saving. The company said existing permissions, ethical walls, audit trails and version history would continue to govern the connected workflows, alongside its Context Fabric layer. For firms, the important strategic choice is whether general enterprise AI can be made useful without copying knowledge into a parallel, less governed repository. Because the control description is vendor-supplied, implementation teams should test identity propagation, derived-output handling and audit completeness across the entire round trip.
