Falcon launches with flat-fee AI-native contract review

On October 2, 2026, Legal IT Insider reported that former Allen & Overy senior partner Wim Dejonghe had co-founded Falcon, a Belgium-launched AI-native firm targeting the UK and European small and midsized business market. Falcon says it will handle high-volume commercial contracts through Slack or Microsoft Teams, return reviews the same day and retain qualified-lawyer sign-off under a flat-fee model. The claims have not been independently validated, but the design shows how experienced law-firm leadership is moving outside the billable-hour structure to combine playbooks, automation and accountable review. Incumbent firms should watch whether clients value the certainty of workflow and price more than the novelty of the underlying AI.
