Cooley and Google Cloud build a redaction agent for complex litigation

On October 8, Google Cloud announced that Cooley is the launch partner for a Gemini Enterprise agent that recommends redactions of personal, technical and other confidential information in court filings for attorney review. The tool remains in development, and the announcement states that lawyers retain every final redaction decision. For firms, the design is notable because it isolates a high-volume, high-consequence workflow and embeds human approval at the point of filing. The commercialization question is whether Cooley can translate the co-development advantage into repeatable matter economics and defensible quality metrics without treating a vendor announcement as proof of production performance.
