Harvey Intake moves AI governance to the legal front door
Inside Practice · OCTOBER 21, 2026 · 1 MIN READ
On October 14, 2026, Artificial Lawyer reported that Harvey launched Intake, an in-house legal front door that captures requests, routes them under team-defined rules and uses approved agents for first-pass work, with early access beginning in October. Harvey said the product was designed with legal teams at Carvana, GE Aerospace and Dentsu and can return work through existing channels; those are vendor-reported design and adoption claims. For legal departments, the procurement question shifts from whether a chatbot can draft to whether an orchestrated intake layer preserves privilege, applies the correct playbook, records approvals and escalates exceptions. Outside counsel should expect clients to arrive with more structured facts and machine-prepared drafts, increasing pressure to explain where firm judgment adds value beyond the client’s internal first pass.
