The European Commission published the final voluntary Code of Practice on marking and labelling AI-generated content, intended to help providers and deployers meet AI Act transparency obligations from August 2, 2026. The implications reach legal marketing, client portals, litigation evidence and knowledge products: firms need to know when AI-generated or manipulated content must be labelled and when users must be told they are interacting with a chatbot.
