Morgan & Morgan commits $1 billion after spending $300 million on MX2

On September 14, Reuters reported that Morgan & Morgan committed at least $1 billion to AI and technology over the next decade after spending $300 million on its MX2 platform, which the firm said has nearly 5,000 monthly users. The firm plans to offer MX2 to other law firms by the end of 2027 but did not disclose proposed pricing, making the investment both an internal productivity program and a potential software business. For law-firm finance teams, that dual model requires separate return measures for case outcomes, labor capacity, risk controls and external platform revenue. The spending, usage and performance descriptions are firm-supplied, so peers should not treat the headline commitment as evidence of realized return.
