Saga External lets legal teams engineer branded automated services

On October 23, 2026, LegalTechTalk reported that Saga had announced Saga External, a product intended to let legal teams convert their playbooks into branded automated services for clients or internal business users. Saga says its agents can structure and check repetitive inputs while lawyers set quality standards and handoff points, with optional legal-engineering support from Saga Lab; the report did not provide a general-availability date. The model makes legal engineering a service-design discipline rather than a back-office automation role, because teams must specify inputs, exceptions, review thresholds and user experience before work reaches a lawyer. Operators should treat workflow telemetry and correction logs as product assets, while preserving a clear record of when professional judgment entered the process.
