Frontline Justice and Josef launched Frontline Q this week — an AI assistant designed specifically for community justice workers navigating public benefits, housing, family, and employment law on behalf of unrepresented clients. The tool targets the "justice worker" layer between trained lawyers and unrepresented citizens — paralegals, social workers, advice center staff — who handle enormous legal volume with minimal support. Frontline Q reflects a productized access-to-justice model: rather than trying to give AI directly to unrepresented individuals (high error risk, low trust), it gives AI to the trained workers who support them, adding capacity without adding credentialed lawyers. The Josef-Frontline partnership is also a model for how legal tech startups can build access-to-justice products on top of existing legal workflow infrastructure.
