The Legal Services Board published research finding strong consumer support for AI’s potential to improve access, accessibility and affordability in legal services, while also identifying gaps in standards for consumer-facing AI legal tools. For new-law models, the point is that regulatory permission will increasingly depend on safeguards: accuracy guarantees, informed consent, human oversight, redress routes and personal-data protection.
