Entegrata–iManage Integration Creates a Closed-Loop Intelligence Layer for the DMS

Entegrata and iManage announced a strategic integration on August 4 that connects iManage content to Entegrata's Azure-native data lakehouse — marking Entegrata's 50th legal system connector. The integration works as a closed loop: iManage documents and metadata enter the lakehouse, are enriched by combination with time, billing, HR, finance, and marketing data, tied to people, clients, and matters, and then pushed back into iManage's Context Layer via Insight+. The result is that iManage surfaces AI workflows and document intelligence informed by the full picture of the firm's matter history rather than document content alone. For KM directors at the firms Entegrata serves — Cleary Gottlieb, Mayer Brown, Wilson Sonsini, and others — the integration changes the data model underlying iManage AI: instead of retrieval from a document repository, Insight+ draws on a connected knowledge layer where content, relationships, and firm-wide context are unified. The quality of KM's metadata and tagging practices in iManage now flows directly into the quality of AI-driven insights the firm can produce.
