NetDocuments MCP Ecosystem Expands: Google Gemini Enterprise Joins at ILTACON

BY INSIDE PRACTICE · SEPTEMBER 7, 2026 · 1 MIN READ

NetDocuments announced at ILTACON 2026 an expansion of its MCP ecosystem, with Google Gemini Enterprise for Legal joining as the latest frontier AI provider alongside Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Harvey, and Legora. The LawNext ILTACON Part 3 round-up (September 4) described the announcement as part of a broader ILTACON consensus: MCP is becoming the standard integration architecture for legal knowledge systems. For KM professionals evaluating the MCP layer, the breadth of the NetDocuments ecosystem is now a vendor procurement argument in its own right: a DMS with governed MCP connections to six major AI providers reduces the integration burden every time a new AI tool enters the firm's stack.
