NetDocuments Launches Tabular Review and Legal Authorities — Extends Context Graph Into the Workflow

NetDocuments announced on August 20, 2026 the addition of two new AI capabilities: NetDocuments Tabular Review (AI-powered analysis of large document sets directly in the DMS) and Legal Authorities, which extends the Legal Context Graph to automatically extract and connect case law citations across a firm's document store. Both capabilities are built on top of the Legal Context Graph rather than existing as standalone features — meaning they improve in quality as the graph accumulates more structured legal context from the firm's matter history. The tabular review capability is particularly significant for KM professionals because it operationalizes a long-standing bottleneck: the ability to analyze and extract insight from large collections of documents (due diligence sets, deposition transcripts, contract portfolios) directly within the governed DMS environment, without exporting to external AI tools that may not observe the firm's information barriers. Legal Authorities represents the first commercial implementation of a "living caselaw layer" embedded in a DMS — connecting every cited authority across a firm's entire document store in real time.
