DeepJudge Agent Handoff Protocol Gains Legora as Bidirectional Partner; Harvey and Thomson Reuters Already Signed

DeepJudge launched the Agent Handoff Protocol (AHP) on August 13 as an open specification enabling context — task objective, conversation history, supporting documents, analysis already completed — to travel between AI platforms without requiring users to restart from scratch. Harvey and Thomson Reuters signed on as the first adopters; Legora then joined on August 18 as a deeper bidirectional partner, meaning institutional knowledge flows from DeepJudge into Legora's agentic drafting and reviewing workflows, and new work product created in Legora flows back into DeepJudge's knowledge graph. AHP is the first serious interoperability attempt in legal AI, and its adoption by three of the sector's most capitalized platforms inside five days signals something beyond coordination: it is a standards play, and the company that owns the protocol controls the handoff layer across the stack.
