Consolidation Accelerates — Legora at 5 Acquisitions, Harvey at 3, Wolters Kluwer at $605M in Deals

The pace of legal tech M&A in 2026 is now the defining structural story of the sector, with Crunchbase and multiple trade sources confirming a wave that is compressing the market from both ends simultaneously. Legora — valued at $5.55 billion after a $550M Accel-led round with a $50M Nvidia extension — has completed five acquisitions this year, including Wexler (litigation fact intelligence, London engineering hub) and Walter AI (legal intelligence). Harvey has acquired at least three companies: Hexus, Lume (engineering talent), and Benchmark (asset management AI). On the public-company side, Wolters Kluwer paid $500 million for Brightflag (legal spend management) and $105 million for Libra (AI workspace for legal professionals). For operators and investors, the pattern is clear: independent point solutions are being absorbed rapidly, and the viable exit paths are acquisition by a platform consolidator or a sufficiently differentiated standalone at scale.
