Clio Work generates interactive matter tools from natural-language requests
Inside Practice · OCTOBER 5, 2026 · 1 MIN READ
On October 1, 2026, Clio launched Visualizations in Clio Work, allowing users to request interactive chronologies, calculators, client dashboards and performance views in natural language. Clio says the feature identifies relevant matter information, writes and runs code, and generates the view without requiring a separate export; it is now available to Clio Work customers and remains subject to lawyer review before external use. This pushes legal AI beyond drafting into temporary application generation inside the system of record. Product teams should expect customers to ask how generated code is sandboxed, permissioned, tested and retained, because flexibility becomes an operational risk if each output behaves like an ungoverned micro-application.
