Harvey adds Japanese legal intelligence through Legalscape

On October 2, 2026, Harvey announced a data partnership with Legalscape to integrate Japanese statutes, case law, administrative guidance, commentary and practical literature into Harvey. The companies said availability will begin in the coming months, so this is a forward product commitment rather than a generally available feature. Harvey reports that its wider platform now connects more than 1,000 legal data sources and that Legalscape serves more than 3,000 clients; those adoption figures are company-supplied. The operator implication is that authoritative local content and publishing rights are becoming a distribution moat, particularly for global platforms that need jurisdiction-specific reliability without building every corpus themselves.
