Morae combines billing AI with human review in a managed spend product

On September 29, 2026, Morae launched MorAI Spend Intelligence, combining billing-trained AI with expert review of outside-counsel invoices. Morae reports that an early deployment at a global insurer increased savings from 8.5% to 18% and removed 14,000 hours of manual invoice review; the result is vendor-supplied and was not independently evaluated. The offer packages software, review labor and decision support as one managed outcome, which can make value easier to buy than a platform requiring the customer to staff its own verification layer. Operators should watch gross margin and scalability: human oversight can improve trust and adoption, but the economics depend on how quickly validated review data reduces ongoing expert effort.
