Firm Prospects, the legal talent and market intelligence platform, announced a strategic partnership with UniCourt on June 23, integrating UniCourt's litigation database — more than 2 billion dockets and documents across 4,000 state and federal courts — into Firm Prospects' attorney and law firm profiles. The integration makes attorney profiles "10x deeper," adding full case histories, plaintiff/defendant records, win/loss data, co-counsel connections, and opposing counsel relationships at a level not previously available in a single platform. The companies described this as the first phase of a broader data partnership targeting 2 million-plus cases.
For law firms using talent intelligence for lateral hiring and competitive analysis, this partnership changes the quality of available data from resume-plus-network to litigation-record depth. The co-counsel and opposing counsel relationship data is particularly consequential for business development teams and for litigation teams conducting pre-matter intelligence. For legal data vendors, the model demonstrates that structured litigation data has expansion markets well beyond legal research — talent intelligence, BD analytics, and competitive intelligence are all adjacent applications where court data creates value.
