Harvey Launches Connector Library — iManage, NetDocuments, Google Drive, Gmail in Early Access

Harvey launched its Connector Library in mid-June Early Access, adding native API integrations to Google Drive and Gmail and MCP integrations to iManage, NetDocuments, PitchBook, SS&C Intralinks DealCentre AI, Datasite, and Box. The technical mechanism — a combination of native APIs and the emerging MCP (Model Context Protocol) standard — allows legal teams to pull data from their existing document management systems, deal data environments, and communications platforms directly into Harvey without manual upload or context switching. The practical effect: Harvey becomes a unified AI interface across the firm's data infrastructure rather than an isolated drafting environment.

The Connector Library strategy reflects a clear competitive positioning choice: rather than trying to replace the DMS, VDR, or email archive, Harvey is connecting to all of them and positioning as the AI reasoning and drafting layer on top of existing infrastructure. For legal tech vendors in the DMS or deal data category, MCP interoperability is rapidly becoming a baseline feature requirement; vendors without MCP connectivity risk becoming invisible to AI-native workflows.
