A new framework — "Principles of Workplace Health and Wellbeing Leadership" — was formally launched on June 24 at the House of Lords, hosted by Lord Ian McNicol and sponsored by Baroness Brenda Dacres OBE, as part of a government-industry initiative to raise standards across sectors including chemicals and major hazards. While the framework is not law-firm-specific, its launch at the highest level of UK institutional settings signals that workplace wellbeing is moving from a voluntary best-practice domain toward one that government and industry are preparing to codify.
